Volkswagen has advised CCCampers that ID. Buzz Cargo Long Wheelbase ordering is expected to open in January 2027. Our customer-supplied Long Wheelbase Duo conversion starts from £19,999, with four travelling seats and a lower double berth. The Long Wheelbase Solo starts from £20,999, with three travelling seats and a lower single berth. Both include the rear-opening Stargaze pop-top, a 320Ah lithium habitation battery and a 2000W inverter. The upper roof bed and additional upgrades are optional.

You order and supply the van; CCCampers carries out the conversion at our Worcestershire workshop. January 2027 is the expected Volkswagen ordering date advised to CCCampers, not a guaranteed vehicle delivery or campervan completion date. Confirm the exact Cargo specification and delivery timing with your Volkswagen supplier before committing. Vehicle ordering, vehicle delivery and the conversion workshop slot are separate stages. Loading length is not finished campervan living space. Furniture, seating, lining and the final conversion layout affect usable habitation space. How the government van grant can reduce the vehicle cost

Current government guidance states that qualifying vans can receive a 35% discount, with a maximum of £5,000 for eligible large vans. The large-van category covers vehicles between 2,500 kg and 4,250 kg gross vehicle weight. Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo Commerce and Commerce Plus appear on the government’s eligible-vehicle list.

The seller includes the applicable discount in the vehicle purchase price. This is support towards a qualifying vehicle purchase, not funding for the CCCampers conversion. Do not assume that every ID. Buzz, future Cargo variant, used vehicle or pre-registered vehicle qualifies. Ask the supplying dealer to confirm eligibility, grant availability and the discount for the exact vehicle in writing before ordering.

Which layout is right for you?

Duo: four travelling seats and a double berth

The Duo suits buyers who need four travelling seats and an M1-tested rear double seat/bed.

Solo: three travelling seats and more open space

The Solo provides three travelling seats and a single rear seat/bed, leaving a more open living area.

Travelling-seat count does not automatically confirm sleeping capacity. Agree the final arrangement and optional roof bed before ordering.

What floor system does CCCampers use in the VW ID. Buzz?

Is the ID. Buzz suitable for conversion?

Yes, provided the exact vehicle is checked first. Body length, doors, battery, payload and equipment vary by version. The customer-supplied conversion is listed for the ID. Buzz Cargo Standard Wheelbase and Long Wheelbase, subject to individual vehicle confirmation. Before buying a donor vehicle, send CCCampers its registration, VIN and dealer specification. Volkswagen has advised CCCampers that Cargo Long Wheelbase ordering is expected to open in January 2027; vehicle delivery and conversion dates are agreed separately.

What range can an ID. Buzz camper achieve?

There is no honest single figure for every ID. Buzz camper. Range varies with battery, model year, conversion weight, passengers, luggage, speed, terrain, weather, heating, wheels and roof equipment. Compare the individual vehicle and allow a sensible touring reserve.

Does the camper use the driving battery?

The habitation equipment uses an independent LiFePO4 leisure battery. The kitchen, fridge, lighting, water pump and suitable appliances do not run directly from the high-voltage traction battery.

320Ah or 640Ah leisure power?

The standard system uses a 320Ah LiFePO4 battery and 2000W pure sine wave inverter. The optional Nomad upgrade provides 640Ah and a 3000W inverter. Actual off-grid duration depends on cooking, heating, refrigeration, weather and charging input.

Is it gas-free?

Yes. Cooking uses a 1000W induction hob, supported by the separate habitation battery and inverter.

Intelligent campsite power management is an optional upgrade, not standard equipment. It can manage competing loads on campsite hook-up, for example by pausing vehicle charging during high-demand cooking and resuming afterwards. The circuit controlled and compatibility must be confirmed for the agreed installation. The campsite connection rating and total appliance load must still be respected.

What pop-top roof is fitted?

The roof hinges at the front and raises at the rear. The current Wyre listings give an estimated finished height of approximately 2,025 mm with the roof closed. This is not a guaranteed clearance height: the vehicle specification, wheels, tyres, solar panels, awnings, roof bars and other accessories can change the finished measurement. Measure the completed campervan before entering height-restricted parking or garages.

The rear-opening Stargaze pop-top is included in all four customer-supplied conversion configurations, subject to individual vehicle suitability. The upper sleeping platform or roof bed is an optional add-on, not standard.

Is it suitable for winter touring?

Equipment differs between buying routes. The complete Wyre listing includes insulation, 120W underfloor heating, 12V blown-air climate control and blackout equipment. The customer-supplied conversion includes insulation, with heating and additional thermal-comfort equipment selected from the available options. Confirm the exact inclusions in your quotation.

Winter heating increases electrical demand, so choose the leisure-battery package around realistic use rather than relying on a fixed number of off-grid days.

CCCampers builds its campervan conversions to the applicable British and harmonised European standards. Our electrical installations incorporate protective earthing and bonding appropriate to the fitted mains hook-up and inverter systems, following BS 7671 Section 721 and the applicable motorcaravan requirements of BS EN 1648.

Our approach also follows BS EN 1646-1 for habitation health and safety, BS EN 721 for permanent safety ventilation, and BS EN 13878 for terminology. Travelling-seat and seat-belt anchorage installations follow the applicable vehicle M1 requirements, including UN ECE R14 where relevant, with approval and test evidence specific to the installation.

Can an ID. Buzz Cargo receive the full £5,000 grant?

Potentially. Current government guidance lists ID. Buzz Cargo Commerce and Commerce Plus as eligible large vans, with a 35% discount capped at £5,000. Eligibility, grant availability and the actual discount must be confirmed by the supplying dealer for the exact vehicle. The grant is not funding for the CCCampers conversion.
