What are the UK Gas & Electrical Compliance Standards?
We build to the highest British and European safety standards. Our installations are not just functional; they are engineered to save lives.
LPG Gas Safety: BS EN 1949
Professional installation of LPG systems for leisure accommodation vehicles (LAV).
- Gas Locker: Sealed, metal-lined box with a "drop-out" floor vent.
- Regulator: EN 12864 Annex D compliant regulator.
- Pipework: Rigid copper with vibration-proof compression fittings.
- Certification: Inspected by IGEM qualified NCC Approved Workshop engineers.
AC Mains Safety: BS 7671 (Section 721)
Expert 230V AC mains installations specifically for caravans and motorhomes.
- Protection: 25A/30mA RCD and Double-Pole MCBs (Essential for Reverse Polarity).
- Earthing: Minimum 6mm² chassis and gas system earth bonding.
- 12V DC (BS EN 1648-2): Fire-safe cable sizing and surge protection.
- Full electrical installation EICR certification provided.
Habitation Environment & Safety Ventilation
Venting Standards: BS EN 721
Essential permanent ventilation to prevent carbon monoxide (CO) buildup and oxygen depletion.
- High & Low Level: Fixed, unblockable vents calculated by floor area.
- Gas Safety: Dedicated gas locker ventilation to external atmosphere.
- Airflow: Prevents condensation and ensures safe combustion for appliances.
Structural M1 Safety & Bracing
A seat is only as safe as its connection to the vehicle's structural "hard points."
- Pull-Testing (UN ECE R14): Engineered to withstand 20G impact forces.
- VCA Approved: High-tensile steel spreader plates across main chassis beams.
- Ensures seat-belt integrity during high-velocity collisions.
Engineering & Safety FAQ
What is the "Quad-Stack" certification?
CCCAMPERS is unique in holding the four essential pillars of UK safety: NCC Academy Training, IMI Level 3 EV/Hybrid accreditation, VCA Type Approval, and IGEM/IG/1 Gas Certification.
Why must I use Double-Pole MCBs in a campervan?
Unlike houses, campervans often plug into hookup points with "Reverse Polarity." Double-pole MCBs disconnect both Live and Neutral simultaneously, ensuring the circuit is completely safe even if the hookup is wired incorrectly.
Is BS EN 721 ventilation mandatory?
Yes. For any vehicle used for habitation, BS EN 721 ensures enough fixed airflow to prevent oxygen depletion and CO poisoning. We calculate the exact "free-area" required based on your van's specific layout.
Can you safely convert Electric or Hybrid vehicles?
Yes. As IMI TechSafe™ Level 3 technicians, we are legally qualified to work on high-voltage systems, ensuring your habitation conversion doesn't compromise the vehicle's EV battery or propulsion safety.
