CCCampers fits internal sliding door handles and replacement OE-type side sliding door locks to suitable Citroën Berlingo, Vauxhall Combo, Peugeot Partner, Fiat Doblò and Toyota ProAce City vans. The upgrade gives an existing sliding door an internal release where one is missing, allowing you to open it from inside your van. Choose the driver's-side sliding door, passenger's-side sliding door or both side sliding doors.
This is a workshop fitting service for your customer-supplied van at CCCampers in Worcestershire, not a loose handle kit, replacement door or complete vehicle.
A small upgrade that makes campervan life easier
When you are relaxing inside your micro-camper, opening the sliding door should not mean reaching around to an outside handle. Adding an internal release makes the door more convenient to use from the living area, whether you are stepping outside in the morning or opening up the van at your next stop.
This service is intended for suitable doors that lack an internal opening handle. It is not a general repair service for a jammed, damaged or faulty sliding door.
What does the internal handle upgrade include?
- Replacement of the selected side sliding door's existing lock with the appropriate OE-type lock for the internal-handle upgrade.
- Fitting a new internal sliding door release handle.
- Internal opening capability for the selected driver's-side door, passenger's-side door or both doors.
OE-type describes the replacement lock type. It does not mean the part is a genuine vehicle-manufacturer-branded component.
Which vans can have an internal sliding door handle fitted?
The service is available for suitable versions of these vans, subject to checking the vehicle and its existing door mechanism:

The replacement side sliding door lock application is listed as 2019 onwards. This refers to the lock application, not a guarantee that every generation or model year of every van listed uses the same part. If your van already has a camper conversion, door linings, furniture, wiring or accessories that may restrict access, tell us before booking. We can then confirm the access and work required. A complete campervan conversion, replacement sliding door and base vehicle are not included.

Can you make my van's sliding door open from inside?
Yes, on a suitable van whose sliding door lacks an internal release handle. CCCampers replaces the relevant side sliding door lock with the appropriate OE-type mechanism and fits a new internal handle. Vehicle and door compatibility must be confirmed before booking.
Is adding an internal handle enough on its own?
This service includes both the appropriate replacement lock and a new internal handle. It is not simply an additional handle fitted to the existing lock.
Can you upgrade both left- and right-hand sliding doors?
Yes, subject to compatibility. Choose either individual door option, or select both side sliding doors if your van has twin sliding doors and you want internal opening on both sides.
Is this a DIY kit or a fitted service?
It is a workshop-fitted service carried out by CCCampers in Worcestershire on your own van. The listing is not for a mail-order DIY handle kit.
Does 2019 onwards mean every listed van will fit?
No. The 2019-onwards reference describes the replacement lock application. The vehicle's generation, model year and door mechanism still need checking, including on the Fiat Doblò and Toyota ProAce City.
