Built to British Standards

Motorcaravan Construction – BS EN 1646 Compliant

Every Ribbesford conversion is built to BS EN 1646 — the British Standard for motorcaravan construction. This governs overall build quality, materials, and structural integrity across both Diesel and EV variants.

LPG Gas Installation – BS EN 1949 Compliant (Diesel variant)

On the Diesel variant, the LPG system — including the hob, pipework, fittings, and onboard LPG tank — is installed to BS EN 1949, the British Standard for LPG installations in leisure accommodation vehicles. The EV variant is fully gas-free and BS EN 1949 does not apply.

12V Electrical Installation – BS EN 1648 Compliant

The full 12V electrical system — leisure battery, wiring, sockets, USB points, and (on the EV) the 320Ah lithium battery and 3,000W inverter — is installed to BS EN 1648, the British Standard for 12V electrical installations in leisure accommodation vehicles. All high-voltage EV work is carried out by our IMI Level 3 TechSafe approved technicians.

Ventilation – BS EN 721 Compliant

Ventilation provision is built to BS EN 721 — the British Standard for ventilation requirements in motorcaravans and leisure accommodation vehicles. Safe air circulation throughout the living area, washroom, and (on the Diesel) gas locker.
