Ventilation and Applicable Standards

Applicable standards depend on the work carried out and the vehicle’s specification. BS EN 721 (Leisure accommodation vehicles — Safety ventilation requirements) covers the minimum sizes and positions of permanent ventilation openings to help manage gas build-up and carbon monoxide risks. Ventilation must be considered for both LPG-equipped and gas-free vans. BS EN 1949 applies to LPG installations where fitted and is not applicable to gas-free builds.

Roof beds are optional add-ons and are not included as standard.
