Ventilation and Applicable Standards

Applicable standards depend on the work carried out and the vehicle’s specification. BS EN 721 (Leisure accommodation vehicles — Safety ventilation requirements) covers the minimum sizes and positions of permanent ventilation openings to help manage gas build-up and carbon monoxide risks. Ventilation must be considered for both LPG-equipped and gas-free vans. BS EN 1949 applies to LPG installations where fitted and is not applicable to gas-free builds.

In most cases yes. Please advise of any roof rails, vent holes, aerial mounts, or prior bodywork prior to booking so our team can assess compatibility and provide an accurate quote.

The CCCampers team is NCC Academy Trained, has IMI Level 3 TechSafe EV/hybrid training and operates an AWS Approved Workshop. We specialise in campervan conversions and all-electric campervan work. Our team has experience with VCA vehicle approval processes.
