Important: you supply the vehicle

This listing is for a professional conversion service, not a complete vehicle. It covers VW ID. Buzz Cargo Standard Wheelbase and Long Wheelbase configurations. Suitability depends on factory seating, condition, plated weights and chosen equipment. We confirm the individual vehicle specification and payload before agreeing the build. A no-roof configuration is not available.

CCCampers is an IMI TechSafe Level 3 electric-vehicle specialist, NCC Academy Trained and an AWS Approved Workshop in Worcestershire.

Duo and Solo layouts

Duo: four travelling seats and a lower double berth

The Duo provides four travelling seats and a lower double-bed arrangement. It costs £17,999 for Cargo Standard Wheelbase or £19,999 for Cargo Long Wheelbase. The Stargaze pop-top is included, while an upper roof bed is available separately as an optional upgrade.

Solo: three travelling seats and a lower single berth

The Solo provides three travelling seats and a single-berth arrangement, leaving more room for storage and larger touring equipment. It costs £18,999 for Cargo Standard Wheelbase or £20,999 for Cargo Long Wheelbase. The Stargaze pop-top is included, while an upper roof bed is available separately as an optional upgrade.

Travelling seats, restraints and swivel systems are selected and installed for the approved vehicle and layout. The final payload is calculated for each individual conversion.

Off-grid lithium power

Standard system: 320Ah battery and 2000W inverter

The standard conversion includes a 320Ah LiFePO4 habitation battery and 2000W pure sine wave inverter. It is designed for everyday gas-free touring and compatible 12V and 240V equipment.

Higher-use upgrade: 640Ah battery and 3000W inverter

This optional upgrade combines two 320Ah LiFePO4 batteries for 640Ah total capacity with a 3000W pure sine wave inverter. It is intended for customers who expect heavier cooking loads or greater energy use between charging opportunities.

The habitation system is separate from the vehicle’s high-voltage traction battery. Off-grid duration varies with appliance demand, heating, temperature, battery condition, charging input and user behaviour, so fixed numbers of days are not promised.

Intelligent campsite power management

An intelligent grid-priority system can manage competing loads when connected to a campsite supply. For example, it can pause vehicle charging while a high-demand cooking appliance is operating and resume afterwards. The campsite connection rating and total appliance load must still be respected.

VW ID. Buzz dimensions comparison: Standard versus Long Wheelbase

Indicative base-vehicle planning figures: The additional LWB wheelbase, mirror-width and height figures below remain subject to confirmation against the exact Cargo specification, particularly the 2027 Cargo LWB. They are not guaranteed finished campervan dimensions.

Standard Wheelbase (SWB)

  • Overall vehicle length: 4,712 mm.
  • Wheelbase: 2,989 mm.

Long Wheelbase (LWB)

  • Overall vehicle length: Approximately 4,962 mm, an increase of 250 mm over the SWB.
  • Wheelbase: Indicative 3,239 mm, an increase of 250 mm; Cargo LWB specification to be confirmed.
  • Additional interior length: 250 mm more interior length for camper habitation planning.

Width and base-vehicle height

  • Width with mirrors unfolded: Indicative 2,211 mm for both versions, subject to specification confirmation.
  • Width with mirrors folded: Indicative 1,985 mm for both versions, subject to specification confirmation.
  • Mirror-folding difference: 226 mm less overall width using these figures. Measure the actual vehicle and allow clearance before entering narrow spaces.
  • Base-vehicle height: Indicative up to 1,927 mm for both versions, depending on specification. This is not the finished height with the Stargaze pop-top or accessories fitted; completed campervan height must be measured separately.
  • Estimated completed height with Stargaze roof closed: Approximately 2,075 mm. This is a planning estimate, not a guaranteed clearance height. Final height depends on the vehicle specification, aftermarket wheel and tyre sizes, solar panels, wind-out awnings, roof bars and other fitted accessories. Always measure the completed campervan before entering height-restricted parking or garages.

Sliding-door detail: Cargo applicability not confirmed

The supplied LWB sliding-door comparison describes an opening widened by 192 mm to improve access. This detail refers to a Passenger-layout comparison and has not been verified for the 2027 Cargo LWB. Confirm sliding-door dimensions with Volkswagen for the exact vehicle before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

When can I order the VW ID. Buzz Cargo Long Wheelbase for a campervan conversion?

The VW ID. Buzz Cargo Long Wheelbase is available to order from Volkswagen from January 2027. You can discuss your CCCampers conversion before placing the vehicle order. The Long Wheelbase Duo conversion starts from £19,999 and Solo from £20,999, with the Stargaze pop-top included. You supply the van. Volkswagen vehicle ordering, vehicle delivery and your CCCampers workshop slot are separate stages; January 2027 is not a guaranteed delivery or conversion completion date.

How much does a VW ID. Buzz Cargo campervan conversion cost?

CCCampers’ customer-supplied conversion costs £17,999 for Duo Standard Wheelbase, £19,999 for Duo Long Wheelbase, £18,999 for Solo Standard Wheelbase and £20,999 for Solo Long Wheelbase. The Stargaze pop-top is included. The vehicle and optional upgrades are not included.

Does the £17,999 price include a VW ID. Buzz?

No. This is a conversion service for a suitable customer-supplied VW ID. Buzz Cargo. The base vehicle is not included. For a vehicle supplied by CCCampers, see the complete Wyre campervan linked below.

Can you convert Standard and Long Wheelbase ID. Buzz Cargo vans?

Yes. This conversion is offered for both Cargo Standard Wheelbase and Cargo Long Wheelbase, with the Stargaze pop-top included. We check the individual vehicle’s factory specification, seating and payload before agreeing the build.

What is the difference between Duo and Solo?

Duo has four travelling seats and a lower double berth. Solo has three travelling seats and a lower single berth. Both include the Stargaze pop-top and standard 320Ah lithium battery with 2000W inverter. An upper roof bed is optional.

Is the Stargaze pop-top roof included?

Yes. The rear-opening Stargaze pop-top is included in every configuration. It hinges at the front and raises at the rear. An upper roof bed is a separate optional upgrade.

Is the VW ID. Buzz conversion gas-free?

Yes. The living equipment uses induction cooking and a lithium habitation power system, without an LPG bottle. The standard system is 320Ah with a 2000W inverter; 640Ah with a 3000W inverter is an optional upgrade.

Will camper equipment affect the driving range?

The habitation battery is separate from the high-voltage traction battery. Added conversion weight, weather and driving conditions can affect real-world energy use and range, so no fixed range claim is made.

How long will the habitation battery last off-grid?

That depends on the battery choice, appliances, heating, temperature and charging input. We specify the system around how you intend to camp rather than promising a fixed number of days.

Where is the conversion fitted?

CCCampers fits VW ID. Buzz Cargo conversions at its Worcestershire workshop, serving customers across the West Midlands, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Wales and the wider UK. The conversion work is carried out at the workshop, not as a mobile fitting service.

Why choose CCCampers?

CCCampers is one of the UK’s most qualified campervan converters, with IMI TechSafe Level 3 electric-vehicle expertise, NCC Academy Trained staff and AWS Approved Workshop status at our Worcestershire workshop.
