Kia PV5 Shelsley | All-Electric Campervan by CCCampers

Kia PV5 Shelsley | All-Electric Campervan by CCCampers

Kia PV5 Shelsley All-Electric Campervan

Classic campervan living. A sliding bed with ISOFIX included. Quiet electric touring.

Make time for slower mornings, meals together and a comfortable place to return to after a day exploring. Built by CCCampers in Worcestershire, the Shelsley brings a classic side-kitchen layout to the all-electric Kia PV5 Cargo, with a sliding Rock ’n’ Roll bed and a Stargaze panoramic pop-top.

Prepare supper at your own pace, settle in with a book and turn your seating into a bed when the day is done. The sliding bed-on-rails system adds flexibility to the layout and is included in this complete campervan, rather than offered as a separately priced upgrade.

This listing includes the Kia PV5 Cargo base vehicle and Shelsley conversion, with a single sliding door on the passenger side only. It is not a conversion-only package for a customer-supplied van.

The video below shows the Witley, our alternative Kia PV5 layout. It is not a walkthrough of the Shelsley’s side kitchen or sliding bed. Arrange a viewing to explore the Shelsley’s own layout and agreed specification.

A side kitchen for everyday touring

The Shelsley’s side kitchen keeps cooking and everyday essentials together, with induction cooking, a fridge, storage, lighting and water equipment. Put the kettle on after a walk or prepare a relaxed supper without an LPG cooking installation.

We’ll demonstrate the fitted equipment during your viewing and explain how the kitchen, seating and sleeping arrangements work together.

Sliding bed included

The sliding bed-on-rails system is part of this complete Shelsley specification. It adds flexibility to the rear seating layout, with a Rock ’n’ Roll bed for the change from daytime seating to sleeping.

Try the arrangement during your viewing so you can see how the sliding mechanism and bed conversion work. Bed dimensions, permitted travelling positions and operating instructions are confirmed for the selected installation.

The complete Shelsley includes ISOFIX mounting points. Child-seat suitability must be checked against the specific seating installation and the child-seat manufacturer’s instructions. We confirm the restraints, seating documentation and suitability for your passengers before purchase. The Shelsley has its own seating and sleeping configuration, separate from the Witley’s twin-bed layout.

Stargaze panoramic pop-top

The rear-opening Stargaze roof hinges at the front and raises at the rear, providing extra standing room and ventilation over the living area when parked.

  • Panoramic zip-out ventilation.
  • Breathable four-season canvas.
  • Additional standing headroom when raised.

A bi-fold roof bed for upstairs sleeping is optional and is not included as standard. It must be agreed separately. Close and secure the roof before travelling.

Confirm the finished vehicle’s actual height, including accessories, before relying on car park or height-barrier clearance.

Comfort from Kia’s factory-fitted heat pump

The Shelsley uses Kia’s factory-fitted heat pump for space heating. We explain the required settings and parked operation during your viewing and handover.

Heating consumes energy from the vehicle battery. Running time and its effect on driving range depend on temperature, settings, starting charge and operating conditions.

Additional underfloor-heating or water-heating equipment must be confirmed separately on your order, including whether it is included or optional and which supply it requires.

More energy for your time away

The factory-fitted 3.6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) supply powers compatible mains appliances from the Kia’s driving battery. Auxiliary-battery equipment serves a separate role and should not be confused with the driving battery supplying V2L.

With the same mains appliances running, access to the much larger driving battery can provide substantially longer use than a conventional 320Ah leisure-battery and inverter setup, such as those fitted as standard to the CCCampers Wyre and Kinlet.

The benefit comes from the larger available energy reserve, not V2L alone. The 3.6 kW figure describes output power; battery capacity in kWh describes stored energy. Combined appliance demand must remain within the limits of the V2L supply and fitted electrical system.

Camping and driving share that energy reserve. Keep enough charge for your next journey. Running time depends on battery specification, starting charge, temperature, appliance demand and Kia’s V2L operating limits. The full driving-battery capacity should not be treated as available for camping, and there is no fixed off-grid duration.

Intelligent campsite power management included

The included grid-priority system helps manage competing loads on a campsite supply. For example, it can pause vehicle charging while a high-demand cooking appliance operates and resume charging afterwards.

The campsite connection rating and total appliance demand must still be respected. Power management does not increase the electricity available from the connection.

Battery, specification and pricing

Choose the 51.5 kWh version at £69,999 or the 71.2 kWh version at £72,999. Both prices include the Kia PV5 Cargo base vehicle, Shelsley conversion and sliding bed-on-rails system.

This complete Shelsley is built on the Cargo base vehicle with a single passenger-side sliding door only. Confirm your selected battery, any optional extras and complete specification before ordering.

The sliding bed-on-rails system is included in this complete Shelsley package. It is not a separately charged upgrade to the agreed complete-vehicle specification.

Seating, payload and loading

The Shelsley’s sliding-bed installation has its own seating and weight requirements. We confirm the approved passenger capacity and available payload for the individual finished vehicle.

Before purchase, confirm approved travelling positions, seat-belt arrangements, ISOFIX and child-seat compatibility, finished vehicle weight, gross vehicle weight and axle limits. The rails, bed and optional equipment must be accounted for in the finished build.

Use actual passenger weights and allow for luggage, food, water and everything carried. Confirm how the driver, fluids and fitted equipment are included in the loading calculation. Check the vehicle-specific documentation, including Stage 2 information where applicable, and do not exceed plated weight limits.

Registration description and any motorhome classification must be confirmed against the individual vehicle’s documentation.

Prefer to supply your own Kia PV5?

Our customer-supplied Shelsley conversion is a separate service for suitable Cargo or Passenger vehicles. It does not include a base vehicle, and its standard equipment and optional upgrades differ from this complete Cargo-based campervan.

The standard customer-supplied conversion requires factory-fitted heat pump and 3.6 kW V2L. Speak to us before buying a van so we can check suitability.

Workshop expertise and build documentation

CCCampers combines IMI Level 3 TechSafe EV/hybrid training, NCC Academy Trained personnel and AWS Approved Workshop status, with experience of VCA vehicle approval processes.

Applicable electrical, ventilation, habitation and vehicle requirements depend on the work and final specification. Relevant references include BS 7671 Section 721, applicable parts of BS EN 1648, BS EN 1646-1, BS EN 721 and BS EN 13878. Seat and seat-belt anchorage requirements, including UN ECE R14 where applicable, need evidence relevant to the actual installation.

Permanent safety ventilation remains important in a gas-free campervan. BS EN 1949 concerns LPG installations where fitted; the Shelsley’s induction cooking does not use an LPG cooking installation. We explain relevant inspection records, build documentation and vehicle-specific approval evidence during consultation.
