Conversion prices start from £25,999. You supply the Kia PV5 Cargo; the base vehicle is not included. We design and fit your conversion at our workshop in Bayton, near Kidderminster, Worcestershire.

The standard specification requires factory-fitted 3.6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), a heat pump and the additional sliding door. We check your individual van, seating requirements and payload before agreeing the build.

Typical build time is 6–8 weeks from drop-off, with scheduling confirmed during consultation. A roof bed and mattress are optional extras. ISOFIX is not included in the Witley layout.

Choose the Witley for a Kia PV5 Cargo conversion with twin or full-width beds, a rear kitchen and a slide-out cassette toilet. ISOFIX is not included.

Choose the Shelsley for a classic side-kitchen layout in a suitable Kia PV5 Cargo or Passenger. Rear-seat ISOFIX mounting points are included in its standard specification, subject to the final approved seating configuration and child-seat compatibility.

Before ordering, send CCCampers the proposed vehicle’s factory specification so we can check its suitability for your chosen conversion: Witley with twin sliding doors or Shelsley with a single sliding door. Both require a factory-fitted heat pump and 3.6 kW Vehicle-to-Load.

Buying a new Kia PV5 Cargo: check the current van grant

If you intend to buy a brand-new Kia PV5 Cargo and supply it to CCCampers for conversion, ask the selling dealer about the government’s current zero-emission van grant before ordering.

The Kia PV5 Cargo is currently listed among eligible large vans, with a discount of 35% of the purchase price, capped at £5,000, subject to the scheme’s current conditions and availability.

The dealer or manufacturer handles the application and includes the grant as a discount in the vehicle purchase price. An advertised vehicle price may already include that discount.

The grant does not pay towards the CCCampers conversion. Do not assume that it applies to every PV5 variant, a used or demonstrator vehicle, or a complete campervan supplied or registered as a motorcaravan from new.

Ask the seller to confirm eligibility for the exact vehicle, its registration category and your proposed conversion before committing. Grant amounts, eligible models and availability can change.

Stargaze panoramic pop-top roof

The rear-opening Stargaze roof hinges at the front and raises at the rear, adding standing room and ventilation above the rear kitchen. Open the panoramic canvas when parked to enjoy the view and bring a little more of the outdoors into your campervan.

More energy for your time away

The Witley uses two electrical systems for different jobs. A separate 100Ah lithium leisure battery supplies the fridge, lights and USB charging. The Kia’s factory-fitted 3.6 kW V2L supply draws electricity from the much larger driving battery for compatible mains appliances, including the induction hob.

The 100Ah leisure battery is therefore not the main energy store for induction cooking. In the standard V2L arrangement, mains appliances draw on the driving battery without needing a separate leisure-battery inverter for that supply.

With the same mains appliances running, access to the Kia’s larger driving battery can provide substantially longer use than a conventional 320Ah leisure-battery and inverter setup. The advantage comes from the larger available energy reserve, not V2L alone.

Camping and driving share that reserve, so you must keep enough charge for your next journey. Available energy and running time depend on the vehicle’s battery specification, starting charge, appliance demand and V2L operating limits. The full driving-battery capacity should not be treated as available for camping.

The 3.6 kW figure describes the V2L supply’s power output, not how long it will last. The combined demand of appliances used together must remain within the limits of the supply and fitted electrical system.

Required Kia factory equipment

The standard Witley conversion uses the Cargo’s factory-fitted heat pump, 3.6 kW V2L and additional sliding door. Confirm these before purchasing a base van or booking your conversion.

• 3.6 kW V2L: supplies compatible mains appliances from the driving battery without a separate inverter for this arrangement.
• Kia factory-fitted heat pump: provides space heating through the vehicle’s heating system.
• Additional factory-fitted sliding door: required for the standard Witley Cargo layout.

We explain the vehicle settings, parked operation and fitted electrical controls during handover. Heating and V2L use consume energy from the driving battery and must be considered alongside the range required for your journey.

If your Cargo lacks the heat pump or V2L, do not assume it meets the standard Witley requirements. We can discuss alternative equipment and assess suitability before agreeing a different specification.

Options to discuss include the Truma Varioheat Eezy 240V campsite heater and our Smart Lithium / UPS Inverter retrofit fitting service. These are alternative or additional equipment options, not the Kia factory heat pump, and require a vehicle-specific assessment.

Optional intelligent campsite power management

An intelligent grid-priority system can manage competing loads when connected to a campsite supply. For example, it can pause vehicle charging while a high-demand cooking appliance is operating and resume charging afterwards.

This is an optional upgrade, not included in the standard customer-supplied Witley conversion. The campsite connection rating and total appliance load must still be respected. Availability and compatibility are confirmed before ordering.

The listed underfloor heating is separate from the Kia heat pump. Its supply requirements and operation are explained as part of your agreed specification and handover.

Exterior graphics and underbody protection

• Side graphics to complement your campervan’s exterior.
• Underseal applied to the underbody and exposed chassis components to help protect against road spray and corrosion.

Dimensions and parking

The existing specification states a length of 4,695mm and a body width of 1,895mm, with widths of 2,255mm with mirrors out and 2,100mm with mirrors folded. The stated roof-closed height is 2,090mm.

Confirm your individual van’s dimensions and the finished conversion height, including accessories, before relying on these figures for parking bays, garages or height barriers.

Seating, sleeping and vehicle suitability

We confirm your seating arrangement, restraint requirements and available payload before agreeing the conversion. A payload example showing a particular number of people does not establish that the vehicle has that number of approved travelling positions.

ISOFIX is not included in the Witley layout. If ISOFIX is important to your plans, discuss the Shelsley’s seating options with us before choosing your vehicle.

A roof bed and mattress are optional extras. Any additional sleeping arrangement must be confirmed for your roof and conversion specification.

Payload: how much can your Witley carry?

These indicative examples use a Kia PV5 gross vehicle weight of 2,785kg, a Witley build adding approximately 295kg to standard kerb weight, 75kg per person and a fixed 20kg allowance for pots and pans. The 71.2 kWh battery adds a further 45kg in these examples.

Remaining payload is the total allowance for luggage, food, water and additional equipment, not a separate luggage allowance. Check the actual vehicle’s plated weight limits, kerb weight, loading basis and Stage 2 documentation where applicable. Confirm whether the driver and fluids are already included in the stated weights.

These are planning examples, not a guarantee for every van or an approved seating count. Use actual occupant weights and account for everything carried. Do not exceed the vehicle’s plated gross vehicle weight or individual axle limits.

Workshop expertise and build documentation

CCCampers combines IMI Level 3 TechSafe EV/hybrid training, NCC Academy Trained personnel and AWS Approved Workshop status.

The existing build specification references BS 7671 Section 721, the applicable parts of BS EN 1648, BS EN 1646-1, BS EN 721 and BS EN 13878. Seat and seat-belt anchorage requirements, including UN ECE R14 where applicable, depend on the actual installation and its supporting evidence.

Permanent safety ventilation remains important in a gas-free campervan. LPG installation requirements apply where LPG equipment is fitted; the standard Witley uses induction cooking rather than an LPG cooking installation.

Can the Witley be fitted to a Kia PV5 Passenger?

No. This Witley conversion is for suitable Cargo models. Compare the Shelsley for Passenger conversion options, subject to the individual vehicle specification.

What factory equipment does the Witley need?

What is the 100Ah leisure battery used for?

The separate 100Ah lithium leisure battery supplies the fridge, lights and USB charging. Compatible mains appliances, including the induction hob, use the Kia’s factory-fitted V2L supply, which draws energy from the driving battery.

Can V2L run camping appliances for longer than a separate leisure battery and inverter?

Does the Witley include ISOFIX?
